When you installed FlyCast, did you allow all the permissions?
How big is the SD Card in your droid? How much free space is available? Make sure it is not encrypted.
Are you able to play any station at all?
Where are you located?
Who is your carrier?
Have you tried using flycast connected to wifi?

I allowed all permissions (I didn't know you even had an option to not allow them).
SD card is 16gb, 14 gb's are free and its not encrypted.
97mgb are free on the internal storage.
I can't play any stations because the app doesn't even start.
I am located in Sacramento, CA.
Carrier is verizon.
I have tryed WIFI, but it doesn't work either.

When I start the app I get a black screen and the error box that says "startup error" on the header and says "startup error: null" in the error box with a "cancel" button as the only option. When I hit cancel the screen stays black and the only button that does anything is the home button and I have to close the app through the task killer.

It sounds like its an SD card issue (no promises though). What format is your SD card in? (FAT, FAT32, NTFS)

Can you browse your SD card and tell me if there is a flycast directory? Is here any folders inside of it?

I would recommend uninstalling flycast, rebooting, reinstalling from the market place, rebooting, then attempting to launch flycast.

There is no flycast directory on my sd card, just directories from other apps and other stuff I put on like music and such.

Same issue after uninstall, reboot, reinstall.

I'm thinking I may need to reformat the sd card, but don't want to do that unless I have no other choice since I don't have a app backup program yet.

There should be a flycast folder on the SD card, if not, that is a problem. Try creating a 'flycast' folder on the root of the SD card, then running flycast.

Still no dice. Created the directory, uninstalled, restarted, made sure directory was still there, reinstalled and still the same error.

Are you having issues with any other apps? Do you have another SD card to try?
Do you get a message that states 'Flycast remote service has started' ?
Do you have a 'F' in the top corner of the Droid?
Has FlyCast ever worked for you?

We have never seen this issue and are unable to reproduce it.

I'm not sure what exactly was wrong, but it was fixed with a format of the phone and sd card, then reinstall. There must have been a corrupt file somewhere on the phone itself that wouldn't let the install copy all the files to the phone, specificly one that was needed to start up flycast. Works great now, thanks for the help and quick responses. -Jason
