Turning off FLycast

Postby smmiller4 on Tue May 11, 2010 11:01 am

I have installed Flycast on my Droid. It works great, however it will not let me shut down and it is draining my battery. I tried shutting down from the menu and it shuts down and then automatically reconnects to the 3G network. How can I fix?

What kind of Droid do you have?
Have you tried pressing the Menu button on the Droid then pressing 'Shut Down FlyCast'?

I have a Motorola Droid- Yes when I hit the menu button and then press shut down Flycast. Then it connects to the 3G Network. The Flycast icon was in my notification bar. now it is gone from the notification bar.

How were you trying to shut FlyCast down before?

Hi there Support,

I'm using a droid incredible. I downloaded flycast. I'm using flycast on my 3G, not my wifi. When I try to shut it down using menu-->shut down flycast, it automatically opens itself again and says "flycast connecting using 3G" (or something very similar to that effect. I've tried using it with wifi and it still has the same problems.

Problems:

1. I need to shut it down and get it out of my notifications bar (stop running when i want it to)
2. Flycast does not show up in my Advanced Task Killer as an app that I can kill when it is running.

What's the word? Thanks in advance

Please note version 2.0.0 is for the Verizon Droid and the T-Mobile G1. We will be working to get a version out that supports more devices in the near future. Thanks for your patience.

Also, some users have said that if you use the shut down button twice, that takes care of it.
