What version of the OS are you running on the Curve?
What station are you trying to play?

I have a Curve on Sprint running 4.3.0.127 and don't
have this issue. Could you describe a little more about
what is happening when you listen? The "restarting" is
what usually happens if we can't keep up with the playback
and the BB media player resets and when we try to continue
the playback it seeks back to the beginning of the stream.

Im running the ver 4.5.0.175 that is out it will play about 2 minutes then just stop for a min or so and will start playing again

I'm running bb os 4.7.1.40

There is an offical release for another carrier to 4.7.1.53 though its not from verizon. People have done this upgrade and said the os works fine. I'm willing to give it a shot, and see if it corrects my flycast issue.

I'll keep you in the loop when I decide to do so.

I upgraded my Tour to .153 and it doesn't skip any more.

I upgraded my Curve to 4.5.0.175 and I don't have the issue
that you detail. I do have a different issue relating to the
device's "radio" where it just seems to hang frequently. I
will try to look at that when I have a chance but it may be a
little bit. There is a ton on my plate right now.

I finally upgraded my blackberry tour to 5.0.0.230

And the tour is working better then ever!

It works just as good if not better then my Bold.

Flycast is working great now, and I can finally enjoy my streams.

I have posted in the General BB forum, but i will post here also. I can not get WSB atlanta to play for more that just a few minutes, Sometimes a few seconds. I have a BB storm on Verizon. I have deleted and re-installed several times, following the instructions layed out here. I just learned today that there are 2 WSB's on your station list, and i wanted to try the second one, but was unable to. The keyboard would not function, thereby not allowing me to search for any new stations. I could see the keyboard, but it would not accept input. I am deleting and reloading now.

Also, i have had no trouble listening to WSB here on the Flycast website, only on my storm. Seems to work better when i turn off my WiFi and run only on the Verizon network, but still no more than just a few minutes. Seems to coincide with switching from commercials to live radio maybe? I will keep an eye on this and see if it is indeed tied to transition time.

Any idea on an update? I've found a few things that bother me...

1. Some stations will simply NOT add to my favorites list

2. Using the artist or keyword search hardly ever works. It simply shows no results for anything. I always have to use shoutcast search.

3. Shoutcast search results are 15 max. Need to see more.

4. Please update so it works with OS 5.0 so that the volume can be adjusted when application is in the background.

5. Maybe create a way to edit names or organize favorite stations better (folders?)

6. Please allow for adding a station url into flycast to add as a favorite.

3. FlyCast's main purpose is not to broadcast shoutcast.com audio, this is just a minor feature we offer. Our code for the app limits the number of results and it returns only 15 on the blackberry.

4.& 5. Thanks for your suggestions. We'll forward these enhancements to our development group but we cannot promise you whether these will be incorporated in the next BlackBerry release.

6. Because we advertise while a station is broadcast, we must actually contract with the station to legally rebroadcast their station. See this post for more details on how to get it listed in FlyCast: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=101

Version 2.12 continually crashes my Blackberry 8830. It may be that it's simply blacking out the screen, but the only way to resolve the issue is to pull the battery.

Has anyone else reported this, and is there a date for the next patch release?

Also, the color scheme is really hard to view in bright light. A white background with a bold red or blue selection indicator would make navigating much easier. Have you considered offering different skins?
