So,

Just downloaded the latest build, looks good. Seems to be less dropping in my hotel room than on the previous build. So, I can definitely say the connection changes you've made have helped. I'm very eager to see how it performs while i'm driving down the open road. Thanks again to everyone involved with this project :)

I am looking at them and finishing some

So far after updating to this build I've experience faster connections to streams, and better stability.

One bug I have found, is that while listening to a live stream if I receive a phone call, I cannot return directly to listen to the radio
even if I reselect the station. To listen to any station again I'm forced to restart the application, this is a major inconvenience, but
with the recent reduction in bugs and other connectivity issues, I don't suspect resolving this issue will be in a build too far away.

I'm going to try enabling an option in the settings to auto restart previously playing stream.
-Update-
After this phone call I can't even close the app it has literally frozen my BlackBerry, I do see connectivity indicators as though it's trying to negotiate a connection.
No choice but to pull the battery.
-Update End-

Device information:

BlackBerry Bold
OS: 4.6.0.194 - Platform 4.0.0.174
Rogers Wireless Network
APN settings manually configured.

Good Job, FlyCast Team

I'm looking forward to the next build as always.

Any specific APN settings you're using? I'm also on Rogers with a Bold. Most of the time the guide comes up but sometimes doesn't. When the guide does come up, sometimes I can connect to a station and other times it'll say that it can't establish a network connection. When I do connect to a station, it can't build up enough buffer and I drop the connection. My 3G coverage is always full (usually in the Toronto area). Under TCP, my APN settings are:

internet.com
wapuser1
wap

Perhaps I should wait for the next release but just curious to know what you're doing differently? Your OS is more up to date than mine (mine is 4.6.0.162) but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

Awkward functionality, I'm surprised your experiencing those issues using firmware .162, I'm guessing your using the latest revision of flycast released. 1.25

My APN settings are the same as yours. Have you tinkered with your firewall or application permissions? and have your tried a battery pull?

Yup, using Flycast 1.25. Firewall is disabled and the app permissions for Flycast are set to allow everything. Battery pull was tried several times but still the same connectivity issues explained in my previous post. It's very strange... Anyway, I guess I'll wait for the next build/release and see how it goes.
