Hello everyone,

We have now released FlyCast 2.0 version 2.04

If you have not tried it yet, now is the time! Let us know about
any issues or suggestions. We continue to work to make FlyCast great.

** What's new **
Fixes for a bunch of Storm keyboard issues.
Rewind and Fast forward work correctly.
Connection fix for some carriers and WAP2 issues.
Other cleanup and bug fixes.

We recommend that you uninstall the existing version first. This
will not delete your recordings or user settings in any way. Simply
go to Options > Advanced > Applications > select Flycast 2.0 >
BB menu key > Delete > Reboot

You can get the released version by pointing your BlackBerry
browser to http://www.flycast.fm

Hi,

I just downloaded the latest version of FlyCast (I upgraded from 2.01) and have now noticed that when I try to do a search by either artist/keyword or the Shoutcast search, I now no longer can enter spaces or periods (and probably other punctuation...I haven't tried anything else though). This problem was not present in 2.01.

Also, I was wondering if I'm doing something incorrectly...when I search for a station in Shoutcast, I only get a small listing of the different station. I am able to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, but am unable to see anything additional stations. Almost like I can't go to the next page or something. I know for a fact that there are more stations than the ones being displayed within FlyCast. Is there some way to see more stations that I'm not aware of?

Finally, I tried to downgrade back to 2.01, but the links provided in the original post result in error messages.

Well I am just screwing up things left and right. Sorry.
I corrected the links to 2.01 and will repeat them here.

The search thing was adjusted because it was letting too many
non searchable characters through but it was filtering too much.
The next version will let space, dot, comma, apostrophe, dash
through. I will double check on the search having more results
but it not seeming to show them all. If you could post the search
words you entered, it would help to reproduce that. We limit the
shoutcast search returns to the top 20 returned by their API. Some
of their result sets can be pretty large. Sorry for the confusion.

Can anyone confirm whether or not Flycast works with Bell Mobility? Does it work with the Tour?

I know we have users on Bell Mobility. I am not sure about the
Tour. I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't work but BB
can sometimes be tempermental. It works in the Tour
simulator but I don't have an actual device yet.

Do you intend FlyCast 2.0 to be compatible with the BB Pearl?

FlyCast 1.xx versions all worked with the Pearl 8120, but when I try to download any FlyCast 2.xx version via BB App World, it says that either my device or my provider do not support FlyCast.

I have a BB Pearl 8120 with T-Mobile wireless service, and am running version 4.5.0 of the BB OS. Should I be able to download and install FlyCast 2.xx with this system?

Unfortunately we are not currently planning on supporting the Pearl
for FlyCast 2.0 The Pearl has such a small screen and with our new
cover flow UI, there is no way to have a compelling user experience
on the size screen. It is somewhat difficult already on the Curve.
Pearl users will have to stick with FlyCast 1.X for the immediate future.
