Rosco,

Thanks for the response however when I hit the BB Key all I get is a choice of Help or Close. By the by I cannot get past the Testing Connection screen.

If you are on WiFi, you either won't get that screen or it will
disappear when we connect over WiFi. Then you should be
able to go to settings and change to "WiFi only"

I have an ATT Blackberry Curve -

I donwloaded the APP and each time I click in... I get error message

Invalid address:http:///app/starter.aspx?Plat=blackberry&ver=1.29&uid=then a bunch of numbers...

if I click ok it hangs---

Then if I click back screen, I get to the user set up screen... which I need to click every time. I can then get to the guide and find a station to sream.


The same thing happens if i stream a station (seems to go pretty well) -and then click the guide tab... it just hangs until i close the app...

and when I click on the app from my blackberry menu - i repeat the process with the error message. I have tried downloading the app twice now.

Any ideas for me?

Above is a bug. It was a piece of debugging code that accidentally got left in.
Once you sign in successfully (see below) that shouldn't appear any more.

You should only need to sign in once. Once we successfully log in, your
settings will be saved. The only reasons we wouldn't be able to save them
is if your device memory is full or you are in Mass Storage Mode.

I have never seen clicking the Guide Tab hang the app. What version of
the BlackBerry OS are you running?

Thanks for the response - that error code re-appears each time i try to log in - and i have logged in successfully several times.

i am on a blackberry 8310 - ATT v4.5.0.110 (platform 2.7.0.90)

The only reason we would ask you to sign in again is
if we couldn't save your settings to the device.

If you go to Media, hit BB menu choose Explore.
Select Device Memory, select home, select user.
Do you have a flycast directory?
If so, select flycast. What files are there?
If you go back up to Device Memory and hit the
BB menu key and select Properties, how much
space is left on device?

Also, are you using your device in mass storage mode?

I really appreciate your help in trying to debug this.

1 - i took out of mass storage mode... logged in and this DID NOT help

2- i have 3 files in directory guide 0kb, settings.dat 0kb, userconn.dat 0kb


i have 5.2 mb of memory left!!!

Now that you are out of mass storage mode, delete the flycast directory.
Then restart FlyCast. We should then be able to save. Check that dir
again and the files shouldn't be 0KB. Once they are successfully saved,
I don't think it will matter if you are in Mass Storage Mode then.

tried your suggestions, Roscoe - and the files stay as 0 K... and i still get that same original debugging error message!

That error message will continue until we are able to successfully
save your user settings. Is this a corporate device? Did you set the
permissions to Allow when you downloaded FlyCast? (If not, go to
Options > Advanced > Applications, select FlyCast, hit BB menu,
select Edit Permissions and change the ones from Custom to Allow)
