Great job! It's running well, relative to V1.28 (which gave me a very intermittent connection), and switching between my Bluetooth connection and the handset speaker is fixed (no more poor (mono?) audio quality when switching back to Bluetooth from the handset speaker).

One other "discovery" I made is that an occasional MANUAL Memory Clean (On my 8800 running OS4.5: Tools->Security Options->Memory Cleaning) seems to help if the Flycast application menu response is sluggish or the audio has "drops" of 1-2 seconds following seconds of good stable audio.

Is there any technical merit to my observation that the manual memory clean helps?

The BlackBerry devices run a Java Virtual Machine. All applications
on a BB (incl mail, etc.) run in that same VM. The more things that
are running the less memory is around and Java work with garbage
collection. This means you don't actually free memory, it just gets
marked as unused. The JVM then decides when to free up memory
on its own. Forcing the memory to clean should definitely help, but
as apps continue to run (ours incl) it will slowly drift back to this
heavily used state. (Note: This is just a general overview and should
not be taken as "this is exactly what happens").

So there is a technical reason that a memory clean would help, but
it is a temporary improvement (think defragging your hard drive).

Although 8800 series is not officially supported, some users have
expressed that they have been able to get it to work. Please search
the forums for more information. You will have to upgrade your OS
to 4.3 in order to get FlyCast to run. Please check online for information
about upgrading your BlackBerry.

Is it ever going to work on the AT&T network while not using a WiFi connection? I think since 1.25 it always prompts for the APN even though it knows that you are on the AT&T network.

We have lots of users on AT&T. Does it auto fill in your APN settings?
Once we connect once with those settings, we cache them. If your
device memory is full or you are running in Mass Storage Mode, we
wouldn't be able to write the settings file. What device are you using?

Have you guys fixed anything related on your end? Most of my stations are coming in very good right now and I am not experiencing any of the problems I was in the past. It could be related to me re-installing my BB os on my phone but I'm not really sure.

In FlyCast, click BB menu key, select Settings
Choose WiFi only, click save.
